Tavis Coburn

The BAFTA Awards happened over the weekend, and to promote the award show, the BAFTA commissioned illustrator Tavis Coburn of Dutch Uncle to create a series of posters, one for each of the five Best Film nominees of the year: Avatar, An Education, The Hurt Locker, Precious, and Up in the Air. Personally film posters are my favourite form of graphic design and when combined with a retro feel, the majority of the time, the outcomes appeals to me. One aspect I really like is how Tavis Coburn gave 'The Hurt Locker' poster a sci-fi feeling.
